WHAT'S IMPORTANT (when choosing who's going to produce your canvas prints)

- type of canvas media used - we don't use cheap polyester which has plasticky look & feel but quality branded canvas media (more info below)

- original inks - many companies offer cheap prices by cutting costs using third party inks - they not only are inconsistent but also will fade much sooner than Original inks that will last 70 years +

- stretcher bars - again - we see that there is lots of companies offering budget bars - which will warp & distort easily - we use Premium European Pine bars - best on the market

- canvas varnish - consistently ignored by most companies - yes, it does add extra cost and labour - but it is the only way to create a product which will last and not get damaged easily - we varnish all our canvases - at no extra cost !

- colour calibration - that speaks for itself, a vital part of the process - to make sure your images are reproduced best possible way.

CANVAS TYPES

We only use branded canvas media - they offer consistent quality and repeatable colour reproduction. They are manufactured in the USA and should not be confused with cheap polyester imports. For different applications we are offering two different types of canvas. The main difference between them is print permanance. All our canvasses are varnished with museum grade Glamour II varnish. More on varnish in our canvas quality guide.

PREMIUM CANVAS

Our premium canvas option is 450gsm Breathing Color Chromata White canvas. This media has got Archival Quality Certificate issued by Fine Art Trade Guild. Used together with Glamour II varnish (we varnish all our canvasses) provides highest level of lightfastness. It is used where need to exceptional colour gamut and print permanence is required. Typically we produce limited edition prints, giclee fine art reproductions, but also personal photos. Chromata White canvas doesn't have Optical Brigthening Additives (OBAs) which are present in our standard canvas.

STANDARD CANVAS

Our standard media used for canvas printing still produced exceptional results - it offers very high white point which produces bright colours and very good contrast. It is far better option that traditional 100% cotton canvas.

It is 450gsm Breathing Color polycotton blend canvas. It is mainly designed for home and office decoration, in application where exceptional longevity offered by Chromata White is not required. Typically this canvas media will still last for decades although with time Optical Brightening Additives will slowly deteriorate and white surface will become more yellow.

We can also adapt to your needs and print on any other types of canvas. Our in house calibration allows us to easily use any new substrate for printing. Please let us know if you have any other canvas media that you'd like us to use. To fulfill customer's needs we used Hahnemuhle canvas, Epson and Lyson canvas before with exceptional results.
